red floor
i've been working on this piece on and off for about three or four months. there were a preliminary sketch and a draft color version before this one. i put this away for about three weeks before pulling it out today to add the border, but i'm still not sure i like it: i prefer to have a looser hand when painting, and this is very, very tight.

pen, ink, and brush and watercolor on cold-pressed watercolor paper.
